The Cici & Hyatt Brown Museum of Art is one of the most significant cultural construction projects in Volusia County's history — and one of Bomar Construction's most celebrated achievements. This AIA award-winning museum was built to house one of the largest collections of Florida art in existence, donated by prominent Daytona Beach philanthropists Cici and Hyatt Brown. Bomar served as the General Contractor, working alongside RLF Architects throughout the design and construction process. The project was delivered on time and under budget despite its exceptional complexity.
Museum construction is among the most demanding commercial project types. The Cici & Hyatt Brown Museum required exacting environmental controls for art preservation — precise temperature, humidity, and lighting systems — alongside the architectural and structural demands of a landmark public building.
